TD 14W likely pass near or over Guam as tropical storm
Tropical Depression 14W is moving toward the Marianas and will likely pass near or over Guam early Wednesday morning as a tropical storm.
At 7pm last night, TD 14W was located 110 miles south-southwest of Guam. Tropical Storm Warning remains in effect for Guam, Rota, Tinian, and Saipan. Damaging winds around 30-40 mph with higher gusts, heavy rain leading to flooding and high surf with some minor coastal flooding is to be expected through Wednesday morning. monsoonal pattern developing after 14W passes to the west will keep winds breezy to windy with more showers expected.
At 10pm the position estimated by Guam’s radar is about 70 miles southeast of Guam’s radar. It is moving northwest at about 16 mph. Center is still not well-defined on radar so confidence of position is poor.
