SEDA awards the top performers
The Saipan Electronic Darts Association wrapped up another successful season of mini-archery, and the top players, teams, and sportsmen were recognized for their efforts at their awards banquet at the Pacific Islands Club last July 31.
The Masters League honored Mhel’s Lucky 7 for finishing the season ahead of all of the competition. Sadiri Martin, Avel Villafuerte, Emil Bello, Jhun Lambon, Junnie Geuvarra, and Allan Arcega led the way for the 7, but they were followed closely by runner-up Oleai White Horse and third place Gardenia 1001 Proofers.
The Rainbow A League recognized the Sunset Knights as their regular season champs. Eduardo Palomique, Leo Lindo, Nomer Hermosa, Nonoy Avelino, Boboy Aguilar, Reynaldo Pelegrino, and Chris Monsanto were able to finish ahead of second place Mhel’s Lucky 7 Aces and the third place VFW Major Leak.
Da Place Blue Diamond managed to outlast the field in the Volcano A League as Efren Barriga, Edsel Delfin, Lito Bolante, Andy Parina, Joel Gruy, Vermont Abendan, Rico Manunggay, and Domingo (Sandie) Pablo erupted onto the scene. Sunset 151 Proofers were right behind them and the Oleai Beer Chugging Hoz followed in third.
The Typhoon Tuesday B League was owned by the likes of Mike Vargas, Doming Oliviero, Gerry Galsote, Rene Apas, Noli Dysoc, Cesar Biscocho, and Chito Vargas of the Vargas Snipers. Coming in second place was the Sunset 101 Proofers followed by the third place Bud’s Planters.
In the Tsunami Tuesday B Division, it was the Aliviera Java Boyz who took the cake, edging out the second place Aliviera Balite Boys and the third place Bud’s B Tribe Hearts. The team of Gary Bandoja, Rommel Villaviza, Muriel Casalo, Jessie Alon Alon, Richard Ricella, Jimmy Juario, and Matt Buenabajo took the top trophy of the division.
The Sunset 80 Proofers won it all in the Thursday B Fanihi Division on the arms of Romy Hernane, Reggie Borbon, Rey Dadoy, Gabby Alcaraz, Jun Itaas, Rizal De Guzman, Fred Plaza, and Noel Navaro. The runner-up in the division was the Gardenia Sunsetters followed by the third place Samurai.
On Thursday nights, the Aliviera Invaders dominated the B Flame Tree Division. Ernie Soguillon, Ignacio Sembrano, Jemar Marigmen, Gary Bandoja, Jerry Zapatna, and Muriel Casalo lead the way for the Invaders as they topped the second place VFW Boyz Gadai and the third place Bud’s Balite Boys.
The C League belonged to the Tambayan Got Beer and their squad of Mario Espinoza, Rolando Guerrero, Jerry Kaneshio, Jimmy Juario, Nino Manalo, Richard Molina, and William Angeles. Right behind them were the second place Aliviera Bento Boys and the third place VFW Clubmates.
In the Ladies League, Da Eliminators were Da best, as Mary-Lois Blaluk, Jane Hernandez, Ruth Koshiba, Beverley Ngirmekur, Julie DLG Omar, and Polly Omechelang eliminated the competition. The Hurricanes were rocked into second place while Bud’s Yahoo’s had no need to sing the blues in third.
Finally, the Mixed Doubles League recognized the accomplishments of Jhun Lambon and Mara Lambon for winning the mixed title. Gary Banoja and Myrna Flores took second while Jackie Quitana and John Moses wrestled third place from the pack.
