Choice Phone LLC, operator of the iConnect system throughout Guam and the Northern Mariana Islands, announced yesterday that all iConnect sites are now fully operational on Guam and the islands of Rota, Tinian and Saipan.

In an e-mailed statement, the company said that the system has been fully restored to pre-typhoon capabilities and services.

The iConnect capacity on Rota and Tinian is being expanded to accommodate the increased demands of the local first responders, federal officials, Red Cross workers and other disaster workers needing communication within, among, and outside of the islands that have been affected by Supertyphoon Chaba.

The company said that the ability to facilitate emergency and disaster communications is a priority of service for the iConnect system.

“iConnect is committed to providing full communications support to our island communities during the recovery process,” part of the statement adds.

For additional information or assistance, iConnect radio and telephone subscribers may contact iConnect on Guam at 888-8888 or in Saipan at 235-168.
