Amused, but not a fool!

On Monday, Aug. 30, 2004, the Saipan Tribune reported that “Lang (Froilan) Tenorio eyeing Democrat’s endorsement” for governor.

As a member of the Covenant Party, I find this amusing that when Lang did not get his way with us, he now wants to return back to the Democratic Party. I caution the Democratic Party to look beyond the picture because there is a motivation behind Lang’s intention to run under your party banner. No one can dispute that when Lang doesn’t get his way, he’ll find other ways to make it happen—at the expense and lives of our common people.

Lang doesn’t respect the Democratic Party platform, yet he wants to get your endorsement. Why? He has an agenda and apparently it is not working with us, the Covenant Party. May I remind you that when Lang joined our team and endorsed our party he personally attacked you, the Democrats, as being anti-business. Now why the change of heart? Isn’t it ironic that your former governor of the Democratic Party would abandon your party and insult your intelligence and now wants to seek your endorsement? My friends in the Democratic Party, wake up and smell the coffee. Lang has a hidden agenda and it does not involve your interest but his self-interest and he needs you to make it happen. Like the old saying goes, “You fooled us once, but you can’t fool us again.”
