DEQ sets monthly cleanup
The Division of Environmental Quality Cleanup Brigade will be at it again, picking up trash at Wing Beach in Marpi. Individuals who would like to volunteer their time to clean up and beautify the Island, can meet the DEQ representative in the bright green T-shirt on Saturday, Oct. 2, 2004, at 8am, at the northern parking area.

Individuals who would like to volunteer their time to clean up and beautify the Island, can meet the DEQ representative in the bright green T-shirt on Saturday, Oct. 2, 2004, at 8am, at the northern parking area.
“Come join us and “PICK IT UP”! The brigade cleans until 10am and breaks for drinks, then continues if needed,” DEQ said.
This month, outstanding brigade members who participated in at least 10 monthly cleanups will receive a brigade cap and those who participated at least three times will receive a bright green brigade shirt.
