Saipan child to get shopping spree wish
TAMUNING, Guam—The Make-A-Wish Foundation of Guam announced yesterday that a wish child from Saipan will be experiencing a Wish Grant—a shopping spree for Jeric at Saipan’s Town House Department Store and Joeten Mall that is scheduled for today, Sept. 25, 2004.
Make A Wish Foundation grants wishes to children between the ages of 2 1/2 years to 18 years of age who have diagnosed with a life-threatening illness, to renew their spirit of joy, strength, and hope.
Jeric’s Wish Day will start off with a “bang” with his participation in the Shotgun start of Hyatt Regency Saipan’s Annual Golf Tournament at 7:30am, which will take place at Kingfisher Golf Course. After a photo shoot and shotgun start, Jeric will be whisked away for breakfast at his choice of the Clubhouse or at the Hyatt Regency Saipan.
Jeric will then be taken to Town House Department Store and start his real wish—a shopping spree!
Make A Wish Foundation has CNMI representatives including honorary board member David Sablan and former first lady Sophie Taitano, former board of director Frances Dimapan, who is an active volunteer, current board of director and Marianas Visitors Authority managing director Vicky Benavente, and several volunteers in the CNMI.
