Lee takes an early lead over boys in the NFL
What the heck is going on in the National Football League? Given that, week in and week out, just about any team has a chance to win, but how can the Chicago Bears beat the Packers in Green Bay?
The answer, of course, is parity. The absolute state of chaos that allowed the Carolina Panthers to knock off the Kansas City Chiefs in Arrowhead Stadium last week is exactly what the league organizers and team owners have been striving for.
Attempting to pick the winning team in the NFL has gotten a lot more difficult since the good old days in the 70’s, 80’s, and 90’s, when the word dynasty still meant something, but this week our five local readers are at it again.
William Hunter, John Blanco, Richard Brooks, Jennifer Lee, and Jimmy “Big Tuna” Sablan are back to try their hands at predicting the panoply of pigskin pageantry.
Last week, Jennifer walked the walk, taking the lead in the season long pick-off with a record of 11-5. Will and John were tied for second at 9-7, and Big Tuna came in fourth at 8-8. Bringing up the rear was Rich at 6-10, but there is still a lot of season left, and plenty of difficult games from which to choose.
