A bill recently introduced in the House of Representatives seeks to rename a street in Tanapag in honor of a family patriarch who owned the area where the road is located.

According to House Bill 14-44, Falubwa Place road would be renamed “Chalan Tun Michang” in honor of the late Herbert San Nicolas.

The bill indicated that the homes located adjacent to the road currently named Falubwa Place are owned by descendant of San Nicolas.

The bill also indicated that several families currently residing along the road, as well as several who reside elsewhere, have expressed their support for the renaming of the road.

The measure was introduced by Rep. Claudio K. Norita.
