A man is facing criminal charges for allegedly assaulting two women in a case of domestic violence, even as the CNMI commemorates Domestic Violence Awareness Month.

The Attorney General’s Office filed with the Superior Court seven criminal charges against 36-year-old Tanio Rudolph.

The charges include three counts of assault and battery, two counts of disturbing the peace, and a count each of assault and interfering with a domestic violence report.

Assistant Attorney General Jeffrey Warfield accused Rudolph of assaulting two women on Oct. 22.

Rudolph also allegedly assaulted one of the women last Wednesday in an attempt to prevent her from reporting to authorities a case of domestic violence.
