2005 election primer now out
Candidate’s pamphlets for the 2005 general election are now ready for distribution, according to the Commonwealth Election Commission. The pamphlets include information that could be of use to people thinking of running for public office in the Nov. 5, 2005, elections.
The pamphlet consists of all the forms that an individual will need to be a candidate for public office, including such forms as the organizational report for a candidate committee, nominating petitions, certificate of political party nomination, the campaign statement of accounts forms on which candidates will report all campaign receipts and expenditures, among others.
Anyone thinking of running for office in 2005 is welcome to pick up a pamphlet at the commission’s office at 1313 Anatahan Drive on Capitol Hill, Saipan. Individuals on Rota and Tinian may contact an election commissioner for the pamphlets.
There are a limited number of pamphlets so the commission said it will hand out one copy to each request.
Anyone needing more information on this or on any other matter may call or email the commission at 664-VOTE or cec@saipan.com or cec@vzpacifica.net
