SCC holds reception for USS Blue Ridge
The Saipan Chamber of Commerce sponsored a reception for some of the officers of the USS Blue Ridge last Saturday, Nov. 13, 2004, at the Aqua Resort Club, in an event hosted by Ambyth Shipping Micronesia.
The USS Blue Ridge left Saipan Sunday morning after a five-day visit.
The Navy personnel expressed their gratitude for the warmth and cordial welcoming that they always receive in Saipan.
“Both officers and enlisted men frequently tell me that this is their favorite port to visit,” said Chamber executive director Christine Parke.. “These receptions are a great opportunity for military visitors to get to know us better. And I thank Ambyth for their generous hosting of this reception.”
The Saipan Chamber of Commerce is the largest private business organization in the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands.
