Telecom firm sues trader over $5K debt
A telecommunications firm has sued a businessman for alleged failure to pay for telephone services amounting to over $5,000.
SaipanCell Communications Inc. filed with the Superior Court a civil action against Osman Gani, owner of Lucky Security Services.
SaipanCell attorney Danilo T. Aguilar said Gani owes his client $5,292.74 as of Jan. 7, 2005. Aguilar asked the court to compel Gani to pay SaipanCell the debt plus his attorney’s fees and other costs incidental to the filing of the lawsuit.
In a complaint, Aguilar said Gani failed to abide by agreements with SaipanCell to pay his debt in the amount of $3,305.28. Gani and SaipanCell reached the agreements in June 2004, the lawyer said.
Aguilar added that Gani signed a promissory note in favor of SaipanCell as his assurance to pay his debt. Gani, however, allegedly failed to pay despite numerous demands by SaipanCell for payment.
