Local Masonic group donates

Emon Lodge No. 179, a local Masonic Fraternity, made a contribution of $1,000 to the Aloha Shriners Hospital for Burned and Crippled Children that will go directly to their Transportation Fund.

This specialized hospital had benefited thousands of children in the Northern Mariana Islands, Guam, Micronesia, and Palau, which provides expert medical treatment, rehabilitation and transportation expenses for free.

Very Worshipful Ernest J. Strange of Saipan did the presentation of the donation during the Overseas Lodges Multi-District Convention held at the Pedro P. Tenorio Multi-Purpose Center, which was witnessed by the Grand Master of the Philippines jurisdiction, Most Worshipful Roberto Q. Pagotan and Very Worshipful Joe San Augustin of Guam.

Noble Andrew De Leon Guerrero of the Guam Shrine Club represented the Aloha Shriners of Hawaii. For the information of the public, all Shriners are active members of Freemasonry. (PR)
