Following the success of its inaugural Speedball 3-Man Paintball Tournament, Rueters Raiders Extreme Paintball will host another tournament on Feb. 20 at the extreme sport company’s facility in As Matuis.

Owner Michael Rueters said he already received confirmation from at least seven teams that will participate in the paintball competition.

The teams that have so far signed up for the “War Games” are Young Guns, Recon Ballers, SS Ghost Co, Xecutioners, Team I.C., MMV Dragons, and Power 99. Rueters said two teams with no names yet have also indicated their interest and will show on game day.

Like last month’s tournament, matches would have durations of seven minutes each. Teams would be awarded points for certain objectives they achieve throughout the course of the game.

For instance, teams are given three points per survivor, seven points for eliminations, 20 points for flag captures, and 50 points and the win for raising the opposing team’s flag on their own flagpole.

Participating teams will play four matches each with the team with the highest score after the four matches winning the tournament. In the case of a tie, both teams will play a sudden-death match to determine the winner.

Rueters Raiders Extreme Paintball opened a little over a year ago. Interested parties can play seven-minute matches for $15 a game. The company is open only on weekends and could also accommodate reservations.

Rueters Raiders Extreme Paintball provides the paint markers, protective goggles, and carbon dioxide canisters, to propel the paintballs, for all the participants.

Enthusiasts, however, are advised to come in proper clothing—hiking, running, or tennis shoes are ideal—since players will be doing a lot of running, and long pants—to avoid getting scratches from the thick foliage.
