Gov. Babauta to keynote SCC installation dinner

The Saipan Chamber of Commerce will hold its annual Installation Dinner this Saturday, Feb. 19, starting at 6:30pm at the Hibiscus Hall, Dai Ichi Hotel. This event formalizes the installation of the Chamber of Commerce 2005 board of directors.
Highlighting the evening as keynote speaker will be Gov. Juan N. Babauta. Additionally, the Saipan Chamber of Commerce 2004 Business Person of the Year will be introduced. Other aspects of the evening include musical entertainment, the Chamber President Address, and a silent auction.
All proceeds from the evening will benefit the Chamber’s Educational Scholarship Fund, which every year gives scholarships to deserving local students who will be attending college.
Officers to be installed are Alex Sablan, Saipan Shipping, as president; Juan T. Guerrero, Juan T. Guerrero & Associates, as vice president; Michael S. Johnson, Deloitte Touche, treasurer, and Jay B. Jones, Triple J Motors, secretary.
Directors to be installed are Jim Arenovski, Delta Management Corp, Harry B. Blalock, KZMI/KCNM Radio Stations; Charles V. Cepeda, Pacific Trading Co., Bob Hudkins, Hertz, and David M. Sablan, Sr., Century Insurance Co.
