Live fire bombings at Farallon

The Emergency Management Office, Office of the Governor, in conjunction with U.S Naval Forces Marinas, would like to inform the general public that the U.S. Military would be conducting live fire training exercise at the island of Farallon De Mendenilla.

The schedule dates and time are as follow:

* March 7, 2005 from 9am to 5pm – Area Maneuvers
* March 9, 2005 from 9am to 5pm – Area Maneuvers
* March 11, 2005 from 9am to 5pm – Area Maneuvers
* March 15, 2005 from 7am to 2pm – Live Fire
* March 21, 2005 from 7am to 2pm – Live Fire
* March 29, 2005 from 7am to 2pm – Live Fire
* April 04, 2005 from 7am to 2pm – Live Fire
* April 12, 2005 from 7am to 2pm – Live Fire
* April 18, 2005 from 7am to 2pm – Live Fire
* April 26, 2005 from 7am to 2pm – Live Fire

The general location of this activity will be on the island of Farallon De Mendenilla Training Area (R7201) from 15,000 feet mean sea level on a 10nautical mile radius on all quadrants.

Due to the danger imposed by this activity, Gov. Juan N. Babauta is advising the general public especially fishermen, commercial pilots, and tour operators to stay away from this location during the time and dates indicated.

The cooperation and understanding of the general public is greatly appreciated.
