The award ceremony for the 2004 Saipan Softball Association wrapped up two days ago, and the organizers of the Island Wide Slow Pitch Softball League have already begun preparing for the coming of the 2005 edition of underhanded arcs by calling a meeting for next week.

According to association president Robert A. Guerrero, all of the teams who are interested in returning to the Oleai Sports Complex for a shot at the 2005 championships need to act fast, as there will only be 10 teams permitted this time around.

Teams will have their first opportunity to throw their collective hats into the ring next Thursday, March 17, when the SSA will host an organizational meeting in the conference room of the Gilbert C. Ada Gymnasium in Oleai at 6:30pm.

After finishing as the regular season runner-ups with a record of 11-2 last year, the Eliminators were fueled by heavy hitting and quality pitching en route to winning the league championship over the X-Clusive, but the 2005 title will be up for grabs. For more information, contact Guerrero by calling 287-8093 or 235-1580, or Piding Tenorio by calling 322-1213.
