Pepsi King and Queen of the Lanes start
The Saipan Bowling Association will hold its March Pepsi King of the Lanes Tenpin Bowling Tournament of the year this Sunday, March 13, and Monday, March 14, at the Capitol Bowling Center in Garapan.
SBA treasurer and tournament director Ross Zapanta said that Sunday’s roll-off would begin as early as 4pm, while Monday’s competition starts at 6pm. Awarding ceremonies immediately follow the end of competition on Monday.
Zapanta also noted that members have the option to bowl on the Sunday or Monday, or on both days, provided that the $15 entry fee is paid. Bowlers who did not bowl on Sunday will be given priority for the Monday shift.
The Pepsi King and Queen of the Lanes Tournament aims to crown monthly champions through the course of the year.

Jam Attack returns next weekend
The Northern Mariana Islands Volleyball Association will be hosting the 15th Annual Jam Attack next weekend, March 19 and 20, at the Gilbert C. Ada Gymnasium.
According to NMIVA there have been a number of local men’s and women’s teams that have signed for the tournament to compliment a delegation of six teams from Guam.
Organizers are also hoping that teams from Tinian and Rota return to Saipan for the event.
The registration fee for the Jam Attack is $100 per team, and the deadline to enter is this coming Wednesday, March 17.
The indoor war on the floor has been held in January in previous years, but due to the recent takeover of the local volleyball scene by NMIVA, organizers pushed it back to March.
