Head Start to conduct Koblerville survey
The Public School System, Head Start Program staff will be visiting about 200 houses (families) on Saturday and Sunday, March 12 and 13, between the hours of 9am-5pm at the Koblerville area.
The Head Start staff will be bringing a survey form with them for each family to respond to.
PSS said this survey is vital to the program’s future. It will enable the program to identify the need if any for a Head Start Center serving 3- and 4-year-old children. This survey is part of the community assessment of the Head Start Program.
A community assessment is a collection of recent information and reliable data, compiled and analyzed to obtain a clear image of the community, its need and its resources. This survey is part of the community cssessment that must be completed. It is a requirement for funding!
Only through assessment can a grantee hope to identify all eligible children within an area that is in greatest need and in the proper program option.
“The residents of Koblerville are being asked to cooperate with our staff. Thank you for your assistance,” PSS said.
