Pacific Islands Club Saipan recently honored its outstanding employees for March and the 1st Quarter and congratulates them for their exceptional efforts and dedication to the PIC team.

Peter Bocago was awarded March’s Front of the House Employee of the Month. Bocago began his career with PIC in March 2003 as a Clubmate. He excelled in his Clubmate role and was recently named Waterpark captain. He was also instrumental in the creation of the Island Festival Show.

PIC said Bocago interacts well with all guests and regularly receives a high number of positive comments in the monthly guest survey.

“He gets along well with his co-workers and maintains a friendly and pleasant attitude with everyone,” PIC said in a statement.

Jun Pangelinan was nominated March’s Heart of the House Employee of the Month. He has been with PIC for more than seven years and has proven to be a dependable and committed employee.

“[Pangelinan] is competent and highly knowledgeable in his field as a carpenter and has developed his skills in different areas. Jun is always ready to respond in emergency cases,” PIC said. “He has played a major role in rectifying a pipe leak found in the Lazy River and in the main water supply of the hotel. Jun is full of energy and is a dedicated worker. “

Rene Pagtakhan won Supervisor of the 1st Quarter. He joined the PIC team in March 2003 as the Cost Controller.

“Pagtakhan is a hardworking individual who has performed exceptionally well in managing all aspects of the Storeroom Department. He has proven to be highly dependable and reliable and sets a high work standard for himself and others. Rene is an asset to the Accounting Department and to PIC,” the statement adds.

Evan Hunsberger was awarded Manager of the 1st Quarter. Evan started working at PIC in 2000 as a Clubmate in the SEA Department and then advanced to Beach Supervisor and finally Sports Manager.

“Evan takes his responsibilities seriously and does an admirable job of working with the SEA team to achieve success,” PIC said.

Hunsberger is instrumental in coordinating events such as the PIC Tennis Tournament, Volleyball leagues and tournaments as well as employee activities such as the bowling nights and basketball tournaments.

“Evan does a fantastic job of ensuring standards are met and his skills as a lifeguard/CPR Instructor are vital in ensuring the staff are properly trained and comfortable with the necessary safety skills,” PIC said.

PIC congratulates all four outstanding individuals for their achievements.
