“We are really pleased with the generous support we have received from more than 60 sponsoring organizations. This is certainly a demonstration of strong partnerships and support for the hotel industry here. There are some fabulous prizes this year, so we do expect a capacity tournament. So in other words, players should sign up early!” said Lynn Knight, chairwoman of the Hotel Association of the Northern Mariana Islands, which is organizing the event.
According to HANMI golf committee chairman Ed Salas, as of last week, over 60 players have registered for the tournament.
“We are expecting the numbers to increase in the coming days as the March 29 deadline for early birds approaches,” he said.
Aside from the fabulous prizes, the HANMI 4th Charity Golf Tournament will also give away incredible hole-in-one prizes. Among them are a 2005 Toyota Rav4 4×4 on hole No. 3, $20,000 in cash on hole No. 7, a 2005 Mazda3 on hole No. 12, and $25,000 in cash on hole No. 14.

Japan Airlines has committed a roundtrip ticket to Japan and another roundtrip ticket at 50 percent off, while Continental Airlines will issue roundtrip tickets to Manila and Australia. Northwest Airlines will provide a roundtrip ticket to Hawaii or anywhere in Asia.
Registration for early birds, which is on or before March 29, is $125 inclusive of green fees, prizes, awards and banquet. Entry fee after March 29, 2005 is $150. Showtime is 10:30am with shotgun at noon. Maximum number of entries is 150 players. Proceeds of the event will go to HANMI’s charity fund.
