Secretary’s Day bares it all on the catwalk
Island-style fashion hit the runway at the Aqua Resort Club when it held the CNMI’s Administration Professionals’ Day yesterday morning at the hotel’s newly renovated lobby.
Almost 300 guests composed of secretaries and administrative officials from the private and government sector applauded as female and male models took to the stage in island-style swim wear or in sporty outfits. DFS Galleria and the Pena House Boutique provided the models’ clothing.
Aqua Resort general manager Ramon Cabrera said this was the 5th year that the hotel sponsored the event for administrative professionals and secretaries.
“It’s our treat for them every year,” said Cabrera.
He said the event was a collaborative effort among the hotel’s staff and management. Chris Timbas, team leader and waiter of Aqua Resort, choreographed the entire fashion show.
Cabrera said almost all the models were hotel employees.
Verizon product manager Hans Mickelson hosted the event and helped in the raffle draw. Shirts, bags and accessories from major sponsors were given away to lucky guests.
He said that yesterday’s turnout exceeded their expectations as they were only expecting at least 250 guests.
Marketing director Dorina M. Gabutero said they were overwhelmed with the success of the event. She said the hotel is very grateful as always to the local community and the government’s participation and support for Aqua Resort.
Major sponsors of the event included Power 99, KZMI, Cosmos Distributing Co. Ltd., DFS Galleria, Salon de Manila, Pena House Boutique, Verizon and Saipan Tribune.
