Police launched a manhunt against a woman who was charged with forgery and theft at the Superior Court Friday.

The court has issued an arrest warrant against Elizabeth Romero, a 46-year-old Filipina worker, according to Department of Public Safety spokesman Eric David.

Authorities have accused Romero of forging checks and unlawfully pocketing cash amounting to $2,000.

David said lawmen have been looking for Romero, who used to be employed with WM Engineering Services. (John Ravelo)
