As a token of its gratitude to the management of the Gilbert C. Ada Gymnasium, the United Filipino Organization yesterday dispatched volunteers and replaced dilapidated doors at the facility.

The UFO donated five new wooden doors worth over $300 and installed them at the gym yesterday.

UFO president Roland Pamintuan said the replacement of doors would enhance safety at the gym’s entrance to the restrooms, locker rooms, and the main entrance.

Proceeds from the 5th UFO Inter-Organization Basketball League sometime last year funded the project.

“This is part of the UFO’s project to contribute to sports development,” Pamintuan said.

Pamintuan lauded volunteer workers from RP Construction for installing the doors the whole day yesterday, as well as UFO chairman Ramon Awit, who leads the non-profit Filipino group. (John Ravelo)
