The Division of Environmental Quality cleanup brigade will be at it again, picking up trash at Old Man by the Sea Beach in Talofofo.

People who would like to volunteer their time to clean up and beautify the island can meet the DEQ representative in the bright green t-shirt on Saturday, May 7, 2005 at 8am.

“Come join us and pick it up!” the agency said.

The brigade will clean until 10am and break for drinks, then continue if needed.

“Please take note that Old Man by the Sea requires a little hiking to get to, so we recommend that shoes and other proper attire to be worn for this cleanup,” DEQ said.

This month, outstanding brigade member who participated in at least 10 monthly cleanups will receive a brigade cap and those who participated at least three times will receive a bright green brigade shirt.

“This is a clean up that shouldn’t be missed. So join DEQ’s cleanup brigade and pick it up!”
