The Master’s Construction Flyers put their seats and tray tables in the upright position and stowed away their carry-on baggage on Tuesday night as they soared above the Budweiser Chura 16-6 in continuation of the Island Wide Slow Pitch Softball League at Tan Ge field in Oleai.

The Flyers bounced back from a 3-1 deficit in the first inning to take the lead for good with four runs off of four hits in the top of the second. Catcher Frank Camacho resembled the Colossus of Clout with three homeruns in four at bats for the Flyers, and single-handedly drove in more run that the Chura with seven.

While the longball hitting Camacho was the only player to go yard in the contest, teammate Jack Delos Santos went 2-for-3 with an RBI single and an RBI triple. The outfielder finished the day 2-for-2 with a walk and two plate crossings, and first baseman June Lizama went 2-for-3 with a pair of RBI singles.

The win improved the Flyers’ record to 4-1, and are a half game behind Verizon (4-0) for the top spot in the league, while Chura slid into a logjam of three teams in third place at 3-2.

Exclusive 8, Brotherhood 6

Exclusive earned a spot in third place with an explosive third inning as they knocked off Brotherhood by two runs in the closest game of the night. Jonathan Delos Santos led the Ex-Men at the plate with a 2-for-3 performance, and got the ball rolling in the top of the second with an inside the park homerun that put his mates ahead 1-0.The third baseman went the rest of the way with a single and a walk, while Ben Guerrero scored the eventual game-winning run in the top of the fourth when Kelvin Cepeda hit a sac fly to left for the seventh run.

Outfielder J.J. Cabrera tallied three base knocks for Exclusive and scored a run in an impressive 3-for-4 outing, while up and comer Byron Kaipat hit a pair of singles, drove in two runs, and scored twice to hand the Brotherhood their fourth loss of the season.

Survivors 20, Fadang 4

The CBC Survivors flattened Fadang with a flurry of fire from a fleet of flailing flagsticks, as they flame-broiled 20 runs off of 22 hits through the five-inning fracas. After taking a 2-0 lead in the top of the first inning, the Survivors piled on 12 runs in the second to sap the spirit of the Fadang faithful.

Clifton Silil was without equal for the Survivors, as the centerfielder went 3-for-3 at the plate with a pair of singles and a two-run triple. Silil scored a pair of runs and was walked in the mercy-shortened contest, and while he alone finished perfect at the plate, he was joined by Payton Sakuma, Gloyd Martin, and Hector Efraim in the three-hit club.

Sakuma finished 3-for-3 with a pair of singles, a double, and a run batted in, while Martin cranked two base knocks and an RBI double. Efraim reached base in all four at bats with three doubles, and drove in a pair of runs to finish 3-for-4.
