Editorial policy
Don't you think you were stretching that policy more than a little by publishing John Del Rosario's letter about Janet Maratita in your Wednesday issue?
Don’t you think you were stretching that policy more than a little by publishing John Del Rosario’s letter about Janet Maratita in your Wednesday issue?
The policy says that letters that are critical in nature should focus on issues, not personalities. I would argue that comments about “reptilian syndrome,” “persistent bouts of lack of focus,” “highly erratic and fickle-minded person who can’t honor commitment and integrity” (and those are in only the FIRST paragraph) have nothing to do with issues, and everything to do with personalities.
I think you owe Janet—and your readers—an apology.
