The Refaluwasch Golf Association has reset its Saipan Little League Fundraising Golf Tournament from June 11 to June 18.

RGA president Jess Wabol said the competition, which is being organized on behalf of the Saipan and Tinian Little League associations, would be held at the Coral Ocean Point Resort golf course.

The tournament will use a double Peoria format and would award cash prizes of $500 for first place, $400 for second place, and $300 for third place. RGA would also give away in-kind prizes to lower place finishers.

Wabol said proceeds from the tournament will be used to purchase trophies, medals, and other mementos for young baseball players participating in the junior hardball competitions on Saipan and Tinian.

He also said that money raised from the event would also help defray the cost of hosting the Asia-Pacific Regional Little League Tournament on Tinian in the next couple of months.

Wabol also is inviting all golfers on island and the region to participate in its RGA Goodwill Golf Tournament set for Memorial Weekend on May 28 also at the COP.

Entry fee for the tourney is $50, exclusive of greens fees. Cash prizes await the top three finishers of the competition, which tees of at noon following an 11am check in.

RGA would also give prizes to winners of the closest to the pin competitions on the 3rd, 7th, 12th, and 14th holes.
