Live-fire training, aerial survey at FDM

The Emergency Management Office, together with the U.S Naval Forces Marianas, is informing the public that the U.S. military will be conducting live-fire and aerial survey exercises at the Farallon de Mendenilla Island.

The schedule dates and time are as follow:

* May 24–26, 7:30am–8pm—Live-fire training
* May 30, 7am–11:59pm— Live-fire training
* June 5, 7am–11:59 pm— Live-fire training
* June 10–11, 7am–9pm— Live-fire training
* June 20, 8am–1pm—Aerial survey

The location of these activities will be on the island of Farallon De Mendenilla training area from 15,000 feet mean sea level on a 10 nautical mile radius on all quadrants.

Due to the danger imposed by these activity, EMO is advising the public—especially fishermen, commercial pilots, and tour operators—to stay away from this location during the time and dates indicated.
