On Mr. Turbitt’s diatribe
President Bush was elected and re-elected President of our country. National Republicans now control both Pennsylvania Avenue and Capitol Hill. Bush’s conservative ideology has descended in most states in the union.
This is a tale of trust and confidence (popularity) Mr. Turbitt has opted to overlook or ignore, sticking to his reluctant, frustrated and distorted perception of Bush’s popularity. How could you have missed the boat altogether, sir?
It isn’t surprising though that two distorted perceptions of reality make for strange bedfellows. Perhaps Mr. Turbitt subscribes to Gov. Juan N. Babauta’s view that the economy is “pretty darn good” when, in the same breath, he declared an emergency on fuel. Reason? His administration failed to pay its utility bills to the tune of $18 million.
We’re paying for it now, Mr. Turbitt, in the form of fuel surcharge fees. In a nutshell, rearranging the chairs on the deck when the boat has gone belly up is but an exercise in futility.
Finally, George W. Bush is President of the United States of America, our country sir! Do you have the equivalent accomplishments at least as president of the PTA for Southern High?
