GCA’s Sablan tops Junior High

Keith Jason F. Sablan graduated as valedictorian in this year’s 19th Grace Christian Junior High Commencement exercises held at the school’s auditorium last Thursday night.

Sablan bested 19 other junior high school graduates to take top honors.

Mary Cris P. Ta was the class salutatorian.

In their respective speeches, Sablan gave an advice to his fellow graduates to never stop learning because “education will not stop today.” Ta thanked her family, teachers and friends for the support throughout her junior high school years. She thanked the school for the solid learning she has acquired.

First honorable mention was Rachel P. Rangamar, second honorable mention was Da Hai Lee, and third honorable mention was Chiaki Hirosawa. Bethanie Ann C. Batallones and John F. Conti graduated with honors.

The school also handed out several awards, including Consistent Honor List, which included Tiffany Yokoyama, Batallones and Rangamar. Other graduating junior high school students were Johnny T. Aldan Jr., Trini Aldan, Philvina C. Atalig, Russell Elson O. Buenaventura, Nathan Robert Chargaulaf, Gladys C. Dacumos, Mikiotti N. Evangelista, Jayson Robert A. Jastillana, Ernest Jay B. Javier, Dae Won Jeon, Yi Hao Liang, and Andrew Orsini II.

GCA’s principal Faith Dela Rosa and assistant pastor Ferdinand Guinto gave inspirational remarks for the graduating class. Senior pastor and chair Rey Kinsella presented the graduates their certificates as proof of their completion.

The graduates rendered song numbers dedicated to their parents and classmates. They sang “Lean on Me” and “Seasons of Love.”
