87 Kindergarteners march at KagES
Clad in their island-style attires and wearing mwar-mwar and leis, 87 toddlers marched down the graduation hall yesterday morning at the Kagman Elementary School.
The elementary school, which is the home of the Blue Marlins, held its Kindergarten graduation ceremony yesterday morning inside the school cafeteria, and more than a hundred parents with relatives crowded the venue to take souvenir photos of their children.
The ceremony had the theme, “A Journey of a Thousand Miles Begins with the First Step.”
Vice principal Barbara Merfalen welcomed the graduates and the parents, followed by the children singing It’s a Small World After All.
Members of the graduating class also gave inspirational speeches in three different languages. Tiara Jaime Babauta delivered her speech in English, Mildred O. Seman gave her speech in Carolinian and Jennifer Judith Camacho delivered her speech in Chamorro.
Principal Ignacia T. Demapan also gave her inspiration message to the children and to their parents, then she led the presentation of certificates to the children as proof of their completion of Kindergarten.
The children then assembled on stage to showcase their oratorical and musical talents, performing the piece Busy Day.
The Kindergarten students then surprised their parents and family members with a dance number to the tune of Pamela and Cow Boy.
KagES kindergarten teacher Tracy Inoke was the mistress of ceremony.
