Kagman High School teacher and Board of Education teacher representative Ambrose Bennett has been nominated for this year’s Who’s Who Among America’s Teachers®. The nomination is the first for Bennett.

National Academic Affairs chair Parke H. Davis said Bennett was nominated for the award because he made a big difference in the lives of many of his students and former students.

One student in particular was recognized for her excellence in the Who’s Who Among American High School Students ®, Who’s Who Among American High School Students-Sports Edition®, and The National Dean’s List®, the most prestigious publications in the nation honoring the best and brightest high school and college students and student athletes.

Davis said that only 5 percent of the nation’s teachers are honored in each edition of Who’s Who and less than 2 percent are included in more than one edition.

Bennett is presently teaching Social Studies at KHS. “I am humbled and honored to have been nominated,” he said.
