The Joeten-Kiyu Public Library will be conducting a Summer Reading Challenge for students on Saipan from first through eighth grades. Students must be able to read on their own. The challenge will be to read 10 books during the eight weeks of summer and report on the books read.

Students need to go to the library with a parent or legal guardian to sign up and get a booklet with the rules.

The program will run for eight weeks, from June 6 to July 29. There will be prizes and an award ceremony on July 30.

The program can only take 75 minutes so come in and sign up early.

This Summer Reading Challenge is sponsored by Library Friends, Barney’s Pizza, Champs Cool Place, Church’s Chicken, Jollibee, McDonald’s, and Subway.
