On smart meters

If villagers on half this island are still without 24-hour water, how about finding more of the source first—water—before purchasing smart meters?

The proposed repeal of the fuel surcharge is a legislative creature. Therefore, the Legislature has every right to repeal it, knowing it has done nothing but inflict greater hardship for our people in the villages.

Obviously, the governor and lieutenant governor do not pay for their utilities, given the perk, among others, to live in government quarters where the bill is paid for by taxpayers. Perhaps this comfort zone (living at Mt. Olympus) has given you folks a new high as to neglect that there are people in the villages?

Eh, “come on down” and share what we have to endure because you simply failed to improve family pocketbooks since four years ago. Briefly, everything has gone up except real purchasing power!
