SEDA recognizes top performers

The Saipan Electronic Darts Association held its season-ending awards banquet Sunday afternoon at the Dai-Ichi Hotel Saipan Beach, recognizing the top teams and players from the various leagues the past season.

Jimmy’s T’s Snipers took home the top prize in the Masters League and was followed by Oleai White Horse and Jewel 151 Proofers, while Godfather White Horse earned the crown in the Volcano A League, beating out Wild Bill’s Lost Commando and Bud’s 101 Proofers, which finished in second and third place.

The Aliviera Destroyers were the dominators of the Rainbow A League as Jewel Night Hunter’s and Bud’s Tribes Heart followed, while the Tuesday B League title was captured by Jimmy T’s A’s Aircon. Bud’s For All Season and Jimmy T’s Nighthawk placed second and third.

Round 2 Fokai were the top guns in the Fanihi B League and edged VFW Inmates and Aliviera Balutan for the top spot, while Jimmy T’s Hotdog, Bud’s Mabalasik Boys, and Aliviera Strikers were the top three teams in the Flame Tree B League.

The C League saw Jonny’s Fujin win first place, VFW Clubmates take second, and Bud’s Crazy 8 place third, while the Oleai B52 Shooters shined above all in the Ladies League and had their tail chased by Banana Secret Angels and Wild Bill’s Angels.

Meanwhile, the one-two punch of Polly Omechelang and Randy Tudela finished as the best team in the Mixed Doubles. The Jackie Quinata-Willie Cuesta duo placed second, while Emily Vargas and James Benavente took home third place.

Bud Light Cup champions include Oleai Hackers in the Masters; Godfather’s White Horse in the Volcano A; Jewel Night Hunter’s in the Rainbow A; Jimmy T’s A’s Aircon in the Tuesday B; VFW Inmates in the Fanihi B; Bud’s Mabalasik Boys in the Flame Tree B; Jonny’s Fujin in the C; Oleai B52 Shooters in the Ladies; and Quinata and Cuesta in the Mixed Doubles.

Most valuable players include Noel Saluta in the Masters; Leo Lindo in the Volcano A; Armin Larinay in the Rainbow A; Wally Esguerra in the Tuesday B; James Benavente in the Fanihi B; Eduardo Soliman in the Flame Tree B; Marjorie Cruz in the C; and Fina Guevarra in the Ladies. Omechelang won the MVP award for the Mixed Doubles ladies while partner Tudela took home the male MVP trophy.

SEDA also recognized teams who showcased the best sportsmanship in each league. Taking home the award in the Masters was Beams Jokers Wild; Jonny’s Tours in volcano A; Bud’s Q’s in Rainbow A; Jonny’s Walkers in Tuesday B; Jonny’s Samurai in Fanihi B; Oleai A’s Aircon in Flame Tree B; Banaba Secret Angels in the C League; Da Place Senorita’s 3 in the Ladies League; and Jimmy and Charlotte in the Mixed Doubles.
