A man working on the Commonwealth Utilities Corp.’s power lines was electrocuted when a boom truck he was on touched a live wire in Garapan.

Department of Public Safety spokesman Eric David said Angel Pagangan suffered serious injuries from second-degree burns. He said Pagangan was rushed to the Commonwealth Health Center after the incident Tuesday.

David said Pagangan, a Filipino worker of Kimco Corp., was inside the bucket of a boom truck when the incident happened.

Information gathered by police showed that Kimco’s crew was working on burying power lines underground in Western Garapan—a CUC project.

David said Kimco is subcontractor of Maeda Corp., the CUC’s contractor. (John Ravelo)
