A 20-year-old woman lost some $900 to a still unidentified thief on Managaha Island, police said Tuesday.

Department of Public Safety spokesperson Catherine Sheu said the incident happened last Saturday afternoon. She did not release the victim’s identity and if the woman was a tourist.

Citing preliminary police report, Sheu said the victim was on Managaha when she used one of the coin-operated lockers on the islet, a tourist-famous beach site. The woman placed her purse containing $900 inside the locker.

When the woman returned to her locker, she discovered that the purse was not there anymore and had been placed in another locker, Sheu said. Police has yet to identify the suspect.
