Columnist’ speculations unfounded

In Ruth Tighe’s recent column, she stated that she had stopped reading what I submit to the media some time ago. Apparently, however, Tighe still takes the time to read what I submit and is published by the Tribune. Once again, Tighe contradicts herself publicly.

Tighe enjoys criticizing what I submit to the Tribune but is unable to offer any credible refutations for my discussions. What is apparent is that her criticisms are subjective and without merit and does not convincingly substantiate why she thinks my reasoning is flawed. As far as I am concerned, if a retort to anything I submit is not substantive, then it will never be looked upon as worthwhile.

Mr. Reddy’s information prompted my analysis of the “politics” of Babauta’s political decisions regarding CUC over the past several years. The information provided by Mr. Reddy substantiated my points about what transpired with the political decisions involving CUC, Mobil, and Babauta. Clearly, Tighe missed the gist and point of my letter.

I find it interesting that Tighe stated in her column that I “regurgitated” the information provided by Mr. Reddy, when in most of her prolix columns, she essentially does the same when reviewing and reiterating information regarding people and/or events. It is hypocritical to criticize someone for using the information of another writer, when the practice of “regurgitating information” is quite commonplace in her columns.

With respect to the unfounded speculation about being paid by the opposition, I will state categorically for the record, that I am not receiving compensation from any candidate running for governor. And even if I were being compensated like she is for her columns, I would not openly divulge that to her personally or publicly simply because it is, quite frankly, none of her business.
