Enlist on a virtual voyage to the Northern Islands
Asuncion, Uracas, Alamagan… do these sound like faraway, unreachable places? Have you ever wondered what amazing creatures live in the ocean around these islands? Here’s your chance to find out! Log onto www.crm.gov.mp/maramp to join a virtual exploration of the underwater world of the Northern Islands, as well as our more familiar southern neighbors. The cruise begins on Sept. 2, and you can visit the site daily to see fantastic photos, reports from the field, interviews with scientists and crew, and feature articles on exciting new discoveries.
You can even become an honorary crew member of the research vessel Oscar Sette, and receive a free ID badge! Teachers, sign your classes up as “Classrooms at Sea,” and receive a free educational package including posters, brochures, and much more!
