Load shedding schedule
Thursday, Aug. 18, 2005
10am—12 noon Lateral under Kiya 1. Affected are areas around Stanford Hotel in San Vicente, Kanat Tabla and U.S. CNMI Garment in Chalan Laulau.
3pm—5pm Kiya 2—2nd partial only. Areas affected are Chalan Kanoa Dist. 3 (including WSR Elementary School), and portions of Dist. 1 and 2, Tun Doi Road, Fina Sisu, portions of As Perdido, Chalan Piao and San Antonio.
5pm—7pm Kiya 4—2nd partial only. Areas affected are Susupe (including Saipan Community School) and portions of Chalan Kanoa Districts 2,3 and 4 (including Sister Remedio School).
7pm—9pm Feeder 4—3rd partial only. Areas affected are portions of Capitol Hill, Mt. Tapochao, Talofofo, Agag, As Teo, Papago, Kagman area (including schools) and Kagman I, II, III.

10am—12 noon Lateral under Feeder 2. Affected are areas around B&R in Chalan Laulau, and MVA Office in Oleai (if necessary).
3pm—5pm Feeder 7—2nd partial only. Areas affected are Achugao, San Roque, As Matuis and Marpi.
5pm—7pm Feeder 3—2nd partial only. Areas affected are Gualo Rai, Chalan Laulau, portions of China Town and As Falipe.
7pm—9pm Kiya 1—3rd partial only. Areas affected are CPA Airport, Koblerville (including Koblerville Elementary, Saipan Southern High School and Koblerville Subdivision), As Perdido, As Gonno and portions of Afetnas.
In case the load under 2nd partial cannot accommodate the load needed, Power Plant may also trip 1st partial to avoid overloading the units. The reason for the load shedding is that Power Plant is under-generating due to the mechanical problems of Units 3 and 4 at Power Plant I, which is at 6.0 MW each.
