AERIAL EXERCISES AT FDM TODAY, TOMORROW
The Emergency Management Office, in conjunction with U.S Naval Forces Marianas, would like to inform the public that the U.S. military will be conducting a two-day aerial maneuver exercise on the island of Farallon De Mendenilla on Sept. 1 and 2, from 9am to 1:30pm.
The general location of this activity will be on the island of Farallon De Mendenilla Training Area from 15, 000 feet mean sea level on a 10-nautical mile radius on all quadrants.
Due to the danger imposed by this activity, EMO is advising the public—especially fishermen, commercial pilots and marine tour operators—to take precautionary measures around this area during the time and dates indicated.

KAGMAN HIGH PTSA MEETING SET
This is to inform the parents and legal guardians of Kagman High School students that the first Parents Teachers Students Association meeting for school year 2005-2006 will be held today, Sept. 1, 2005, at 6pm, in the school cafeteria. “We invite and encourage you to come and attend this meeting,” the school said in a statement.
DEQ MONTHLY CLEANUP ON SATURDAY
The Division of Environmental Quality’s cleanup brigade will be picking up trash at Marine Beach in Kagman on Saturday, Sept. 3, 2005, at 8am.
“If you would like to volunteer your time to clean up and beautify our island, please meet the DEQ representative in the bright green t-shirt. Come join us and ‘Pick it Up!’” the agency said in a statement.
The brigade cleans until 10am and breaks for drinks, and then continues if needed.
This month outstanding brigade members who participated in at least 10 monthly cleanups will receive a brigade cap and those who have participated in at lease three cleanups will receive a green brigade t-shirt.

CORPORATE CHALLENGE ON OCT. 2
It is not too early to sign up your company’ team for the 2005 Corporate Challenge.
According to the Saipan Chamber of Commerce, eight teams have already registered for the event, which would be held on Sunday, Oct. 2, at Micro Beach at American Memorial Park. Cost of registration is $300 per team and deadline for registration is Friday, Sept. 16.
