The top bankers and breakers that were cued to assemble at Shooter’s Sports Bar for the Budweiser-Bud Light Billiard League captain’s meeting last week will convene tonight, as all team captains looking for a chance at the perpetual trophy and cash line up for the new season of racks and pockets.

According to league coordinator Fred Prinz, the team representatives will gather at the recently opened Shooters—located behind Saipan Gold Beach Hotel on Beach Road—at 8pm.

The tables at the new facility first saw action during the awards banquet tournament when all of the teams went head-to-head in the showdown before the chow down. There will be more of the same next time around, but the number of entrants is still up in the air.

League co-coordinator Kim Prinz said that while she’s not sure how many teams will show, she is hoping for at least 12 to allow for both an “A” and “B” division, but said that all depends on the amount of 8-ball heroes that step up to the felt.

Other issues still on the table are whether or not powerhouse No Mercy will be permitted to stay together for another shot at the A Division crown, and if the Ballers decided to stick around for the B Division or advance to play with the big boys.

The Budweiser-Bud Light Billiard League is sanctioned by the CNMI Billiards and Dart Association. For more information about the BBLBL or the CNMIBDA, contact Prinz ASAP by calling 287-5005.
