SANTA RITA, Guam—Navy Personnel Command has established a 24-hour helpline to report the whereabouts of Navy Reserve and active-duty members who live or work in Louisiana, Mississippi, and Alabama and remain unaccounted for as well as to obtain information regarding loved ones affected by Hurricane Katrina.

Active-duty service members, Reservists and their dependents can call 1-877-414-5358, while Department of the Navy civilians and their dependents can call 1-877-689-2722.

The helpline is staffed around the clock by active-duty Navy volunteers, who are partnering with the Navy, Federal Emergency Management Agency, and other government organizations to answer questions regarding the status of Sailors and their families. (PR)
