Two persons face criminal charges for allegedly issuing bad checks to a company in two separate cases at the Superior Court.

In one of the cases, the Attorney General’s Office charged Michael Geisenger, a 46-year-old resident of Chalan Piao, with two counts of issuing bad checks.

CNMI chief prosecutor Jeffrey Moots said Geisenger issued or passed two checks in the amounts of $621.29 and $120.95 to Mid-Pacific Micronesia on Dec. 24, 2004, despite allegedly knowing that the checks would bounce due to insufficient funds.

In another case, Moots charged Elisa M. Iglecias, a 40-year-old resident of Chalan Kanoa, with one count of issuance of bad check.

Moots said Iglecias issued or passed on a check in the amount of $555 to the same company on June 29, 2004, which bounced due to insufficient funds.
