The Saipan Swim Club will kick off its 2005-2006 season with a swimmer registration meeting on Monday, Sep. 26, 6pm at the Kan Pacific Swimming Pool in Mapri.

All current SSC swimmers and their parents need to attend, as registration packets will be handed out at the meeting.

This season marks the 31st anniversary of the SSC. According to coach Michael Stewart, “We have an exciting and challenging year in front of us. We’re planning several top-notch swim meets at the pool here on Saipan including a goodwill meet in October which will see a group of young swimmers from Japan travel to Saipan to compete against our swimmers. We also will send our team to swim meets on Guam and other locations.”

SSC has several different levels of swimmers, depending on ability and desire to compete in swim meets. A developmental program is available for those who are new to competitive swimming. Anyone interested in more information about the SSC can contact Stewart at 322-9474. (PR)
