Chamber’s Washington Rep. debate cancelled

The Saipan Chamber of Commerce’s Washington Representative Debate scheduled for Oct. 10 has been cancelled.

Juan Demapan, one of the two candidates for the position, will be off-island at that time to assist a family member in need of medical attention.

The Chamber will sponsor the Senatorial Debate on Monday, Oct. 17, at 7pm at the Dai-ichi Hotel Hibiscus Hall. The Gubernatorial Debate will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 26, at 7pm at the World Resort Diamond Hall.

Ticket cost is $15 per ticket per debate. Students with proof of student status can purchase tickets for $7. Tickets at the door for everyone will be $20. Stop by the Chamber office early to purchase tickets, as they are limited. The Chamber office is in the Family Building, Garapan Street, Garapan. Its telephone no. is 233-7150.

The Chamber will have some donated tickets that can be used by the manhoben, or youth, age 18-25 and registered to vote, to attend these debates. Please contact the Chamber for more information. (PR)
