The Saipan Little League Baseball Association would be holding its season-ending awards banquet today from 10am to 12pm at the east side of the Gilbert C. Ada Gymnasium.

SLLBA vice president Jess Wabol said players in the Major, Junior, Senior, Big and T-Ball divisions of the 2005 season are all invited to the awards banquet.

Parents and team sponsors are also invited to the event, which would be serving mostly light snacks like sandwiches, pasta, fruits, and juice drinks.

Wabol said SLLBA would be handing out awards for regular season MVP, playoffs MVP, batting title, most home runs, most RBI’s, most singles, most doubles, most triples, and lowest earned run average.

Team trophies also await teams that won the championship of their respective divisions, as well as those that finished runners up. A sportsmanship trophy would also be given to teams that adhered best to the Little League pledge.

Wabol, in behalf of the entire SLLBA, also thanked main sponsor McDonald’s and the franchise’s owner Joe Ayuyu for donating $3,000 for its 2005 season. (PR)
