Don’t pass the buck

When Tim Villagomez was the director of the CUC, he defaulted on all loan payments to the CDA. This came at a time when oil payments were low and he could afford to pay. Where did those funds go? Tim’s solution to his non-payment of funds is to legislatively erase the debt. How will erasing the debt help the utility pay its current fuel bills?

It is a fact regardless of Tim’s statement that oil prices have doubled. The government is contesting $13 million in billings for water. The price of fuel has increased by $30 million a year. How will we get the rest of the current funding? Under Tim’s plan, the lights will go out.

Secondly, he totally mismanaged the procurement of the new power engines leading to the situation now of older engines having to shoulder the entire power situation. You remember the Mirabini, then Enron fiascos?

Passing the buck and blaming others has always been Tim’s way. He wasn’t responsible for the $100 million debt to CDA despite the court rulings that ordered CUC to pay its debt. Now he is not responsible for the fact that his legislation offers no solution to the issue. That is not leadership!
