Free health screening for OFWs
The Overseas Workers Welfare Administration is informing the Filipino community of the Free Health Screening Program scheduled this Dec. 4, 2005, from 9am to 12 noon at the ground floor of the Nauru Building in Susupe.
Individuals who would like to avail of blood sugar testing should fast—no food or water—from midnight of Dec. 3, 2005 up to the time of their check up.

Sunday is ballroom night at GIG
Want to work up a sweat? How about joining Saipan’s ballroom enthusiasts dance the night away every Sunday night at GIG?
Angel International School of Dance collaborates with Saipan’s Premier Dance Club in coming up with this event starting at 9pm.
If ballroom dancing is your thing, GIG is the place to be every Sunday night. Belting out your favorites mixes are DJs Virgin Keith and DJ DK. The repertoire includes foxtrot, reggae, swing, salsa, rhumba, boogie, tango, samba and waltz. For beginners, professional dance instructors will teach you the ABC in ballroom dancing.
For free dance lessons and information, call 235-7770 and look for Saipan’s ballroom master Angel Santos from 9am to 11am and 3pm to 5pm.

Hopwood handbooks available
Hopwood Junior High School will run out of 2005-06 student data portfolios (handbooks) that it uses for home-school communication. Hopwood has a limited number of 2004-05 handbooks available as a substitute, but those who want to get them are advised that the policies, procedures, and calendar dates may be slightly different in last year’s handbook. If anyone has any questions or needs clarification on any current information, call the school at 664-5075. A nominal replacement fee of $1 will be charged for each replacement handbook.

Saipan Southern makeup days
Saipan Southern High School would be holding make-up classes for days missed due to Typhoon Nabi on Dec. 22, Thursday, and Dec. 23, Friday. The make-up days will be regular hours from 8am to 3pm. For more information about the make-up days, call SSHS at 664-4000.
